This is truly a family organization. My grandchildren are members, and active. My granddaughter helped work our registration table at one of our benefit rides we hosted. When my husband and I first met Jerry Deon, he spoke to us about STAR and a new Chapter he was trying to set up here in the North Country. We agreed to meet at a local restaurant for dinner and an opportunity to meet several folks who were soon to become our charter members. Little did I realize, that in less than 3 months after meeting this very unique group of people, I would become the LOS Representative and have found such a wonderful second family!

The diversity of this group makes it a much more welcoming and comfortable group to become involved with. It is made up of members young and old, from all walks of life in many different areas of the North Country. It isn't about what you ride, how you dress, what your income is, who you vote for, etc. Our common goal is to get together, ride safely, eat, have fun, and do great things for those in need within our communities. Being a part of this "second family", if you will, truly is an honor for me. I can definitely say that I have already gained more in camaraderie and friendship than I thought possible. I can only imagine what our 2nd year will bring!
